      I NEED A NEW JOB!

Do you know why sometimes you feel like “I need a new job” even though you just got yours? Are you constantly finding yourself saying that I need a new job but feel that your reasons may not be justified? Many people remain in their current jobs because they feel that the reasons why they want to change jobs are not enough. Some have even been discouraged by their family members, while some are just comfortable where they are and are afraid of looking for a new job, and others are stuck saying I need a new job but don’t take any steps.

WHY DO I NEED A NEW JOB?

Personally, below are common reasons which I have identified as to why I need a new job or a career change.

      1. LACK OF PASSION FOR THEIR CURRENT JOB.

One of the reasons that made me say that I need a new job is when I find my self lacking in passion for the job. What do I mean by this? Well, you lack passion when you find out that each morning you have to motivate yourself to get up and prepare to go to work. If you find yourself constantly waking up and thinking you wish you didn’t have to go to that job, then you are justified to claim that I need a new job. This is because you will be stressed, tired and this will contribute to poor working performance and it may lead to you getting fired or getting passed for promotions. If this is the case, then it is justified if you say I need a new job.

      2. FAMILY STATUS

This is another reason why many people change jobs. And so have I. In my case, I decided that I need a new job when I realized that my current job does not leave me with enough time to spend with my family. For some, it could also be that it requires much travelling or the pay you are getting cannot sustain your family. You may have been single when you first got the job or did not have children and now that the status of your family has changed, your job will need to change to suit your status.

      3. LIMITED OR NO CAREER GROWTH

We all want career growth; some want it for the benefits it comes with while others for the power it gives. Staying in the same job position for years makes people to loose interest and self confidence and made them realized that, “Well hey, I need a new job now!” But still, before making any rush decisions, it is important to find out the reasons  before thinking of saying I need a new job. It could be due to your lack of skills or self development or it could be because of the company policies and size which limits moving.

      4. JOB SECURITY

If you find yourself in an unstable job or in an industry that is going nowhere then I believe this is a strong ground for you to say I need a new job. Stability is important since it gives you room to develop your life in ways such as buying a house, car and so on. You do not want to stick in unstable job and end up being laid off.

THERE ARE ACTUALLY MANY REASONS WHY PEOPLE CLAIM AND SAY “I NEED A NEW JOB”. BUT WHATEVER IT IS, MAKE SURE THAT IT IS WORTH THE CHANGE AND COULD MAKE YOU FEEL THAT YOU’VE MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE.
