For years I was frustrated by my bank’s tendency to put me on hold until an operator was available. But the amazing thing is that the first time I telephoned as ‘Dr Lewis’, I was given the direct dial number which would avoid being put on hold

I thought of getting a degree to bolster my image. So I had it shortly before my High School reunion. Of course, as I have expected, there will always be these questions of how successful people have been and all that. When asked, I explained that I am a ‘Benefactor’ to a University. Any doubts about how successful I had been, ended there and then.

Well as for me, I have never been offered as many loans by my bank as I have since I started to use my Doctors Title.

I am self employed and put the two post nominal letters from my Degrees, BA and MBA on my letterhead and my business card just to put emphasis on my attainment. First off, my business does not really require a College Education. But, I have really noticed a sharp increase in the number of clients seeking my services. I have also noticed they haggle less as to my fees and estimates 😮

There was this very interesting story just very shortly after I acquired my Doctors degree. I arrived at Heathrow Airport in London. I presented my passport and Credit Card as I buy my tickets, both of which contained references to my Title. When the ticket was printed I was told to check in at Desk 14. When I arrived I joined the back of a queue of at least 100 people. After only a 5 minute wait, a charming British Airways hostess approached me and asked if I would not mind ‘stepping this way’. I was lead to Desk 15 which was opened especially for me, to check in my luggage and was then promptly closed again. I was aghast to say the least! 😮

I wanted to start a change. So I thought of getting my college degree as my New Year’s Resolution. With my family and job taking up most of my time, I’m just very grateful for the online college degree option. It gives me more control of my own time. I’m able to do assignments on my own schedule which makes getting my degree an attainable goal. Very efficient, I say.

It really was my dream to have my own degree. I was so worried about going back to college as an adult. I was really intimidated. But then I heard of the online school and thought that I should give it a try. Well, I loved it! I was able to work at my own pace and getting my degree was a great experience.

I was definitely willing to get a degree. However, with the rising costs of gas and the constant traffic back-ups, an online degree was the only option I was willing to consider. I really had no idea of the number of options I would have when starting my search. It was tough. There were so many schools and degree programs from which to choose. Gladly, I saved time and money through my online choice and was also able to pick the perfect degree for me. Awesome.
